Happy Friday everyone! This is kind of a late post, but I was too excited to share this outfit with everyone. Plus, tomorrow is game day so I know I’ll be too busy to make a post!
It’s now getting to that point of fall that I don’t really like. It’s getting really windy most days here in North Dakota and that makes it extremely hard to take pictures without looking like a mess. Luckily, the past couple of days here have been pretty calm (winds around 5 mph).
I was so excited about the weather that I couldn’t wait for anyone to take my outfit pictures…so I grabbed my tripod and I went out! I was really happy with how the pictures turned out because I’ve never done this before and I now have a new independence I didn’t have before. Sure, it was a lot easier when I have someone taking the pictures, but now I know that if there is no one available, that I can still do well by myself.
Onto my outfit! It’s a simple combination, but looks very well put together. Just wear a button down (plain or patterned), a sweater, and a blazer if you wish.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

I’ve been really slacking lately with my posts. 😳 I will be getting busier within the next month or so, but hopefully that gives me more opportunities to wear cute outfits and make more blog posts! I will also be moving into a new apartment tomorrow and I’m hoping with my new set up that I’ll be able to take some of my own pictures 🙂
Onto my outfit! This combination of flannels and skirts is one of my favorite fall outfits. It was actually in the 60’s the day I wore this outfit and it was perfect. The flannel and wool skirt kept me warm but didn’t overheat me. I’m just patiently waiting to bring out all of my layers!

One of my favorite patterns to wear in the fall is plaid! I love plaid shirts and dresses like this one. This dress is an old Madewell dress but there are many similar dresses being sold. It is a shirt dress, so I always add a belt so I don’t look like I’m drowning in it. This dress also has pockets which makes it a definite staple in my closet!

With it finally August, I feel like it’s acceptable now to bring out my flannels. It’s still pretty warm out, but with lightweight flannels and rain to keep the temperature down, flannels can be completely wearable at the end of summer.
As I am from North Dakota, I tend to buy anything with green and yellow, the colors for NDSU! I can’t wait to pull this out for the many football games I’ll be attending.
Another favorite from this outfit are these boots! Suede is such a staple in fall. These boots will go with nearly every fall outfit you have! I love them so much that I’m thinking about buying the black leather version of them. 😀 Toms also has a similar, cheaper version of these shoes!
One of my other staples for fall is this Daniel Wellington watch. It’s a classic timepiece and as with the boots, it goes with most outfits. You can also change out the wrist band for other leather or braided pieces to match even more styles!

Today’s weather has been so weird! It started out cloudy and then it finally rained. After the rain, it was all sunshine with a couple of clouds. That is when I was able to take these pictures! But not even 10 minutes after I left the park, it’s pouring rain! Thankfully, I’m at home now away from the rain 🙂
I love this outfit I wore today! If you follow me on any social media, you probably saw me talk about this top that I bought from Madewell the other day. It’s so fun! It has the cutest pom poms on the bottom and the stitching in the front is so detailed with a navy and a lighter blue thread. It’s extremely light too so it was perfect for a hot and humid day like today.
Another one of my favorites lately is these S’well bottles. My mom is always raving about her Yeti tumbler and how it still has ice in it after how many hours. I liked the concept but wanted something a little…cuter. I did some searching and I found these bottles. They supposedly keep drinks cold for 24 hours and hot for 12 hours. I can only say that it does keep my drinks cold for 24 hours! Can’t say any opinion on the hot drinks as I haven’t tried them yet! I’m sure I’ll be talking about them again when it’s winter time and I’m carrying warmer drinks.
These bottles come in a ton of fun colors and patterns too! I’m really into the marble pattern lately and so this blue marble pattern was perfect for me. I actually picked this up while shopping the Nordstrom anniversary sale! (my #NSale picks are here!)
I’ve bought a ton of cute items lately so I think it’s probably best if I take a little break from shopping 😆
