Happy Friday everyone! This is kind of a late post, but I was too excited to share this outfit with everyone. Plus, tomorrow is game day so I know I’ll be too busy to make a post!
It’s now getting to that point of fall that I don’t really like. It’s getting really windy most days here in North Dakota and that makes it extremely hard to take pictures without looking like a mess. Luckily, the past couple of days here have been pretty calm (winds around 5 mph).
I was so excited about the weather that I couldn’t wait for anyone to take my outfit pictures…so I grabbed my tripod and I went out! I was really happy with how the pictures turned out because I’ve never done this before and I now have a new independence I didn’t have before. Sure, it was a lot easier when I have someone taking the pictures, but now I know that if there is no one available, that I can still do well by myself.
Onto my outfit! It’s a simple combination, but looks very well put together. Just wear a button down (plain or patterned), a sweater, and a blazer if you wish.
The Dooney & Bourke boat shoes that I’m wearing are no longer being sold. You can still find some used online (etsy, ebay, poshmark, etc.).

Fall Blues

This outfit was from a couple of days ago and it’s versatile for so many occasions. You can wear it going to class, work, or just to hang out with friends.
The top is an old oxford from Ralph Lauren, but luckily they still sell the classic items that people are always returning to buy. I own this top in many colors and patterns. I pair it with vests, blazers, and cardigans. Ralph Lauren is currently having a sale running until October 3rd where you can get 30% off your order with the code FAMILY. The cardigan is from J. Crew. The specific one I’m wearing has cashmere mixed into it, but the ones that are being sold now are basically the same…just without the cashmere. To be honest though, the cashmere doesn’t make that big of a difference 🙂
I also wore it with my favorite blue jeans by J. Brand. These are my usual go-to jeans but lately I’ve been moving over to 7 for All Mankind jeans! Both are great quality though so my jean collection is a 50/50 of both.
For accessories, I wore my favorite loafers. Here is a similar, cheaper pair. I also wore an old J. Crew necklace that is now being sold discounted!
For a bag, I used my vintage coach bag. I love this one because it’s a classic and goes with nearly everything. I also own a similar black version of it.

Navy Buffalo Check Flannel

It’s been raining on and off all day and with the rain, comes chilly weather! It warmed up a little throughout the day but it was mostly in the 60’s.
I was a little chilly with just a flannel on so I took out my favorite J. Crew vests and chose the navy one to wear! I own these vests in many colors and they’re always perfect for layering in fall and winter. When it starts to get really cold in North Dakota, I usually wear one underneath my coat to help keep me warm!
I also wore my Saint Laurent boots that are my holy-grail fall shoe. Here’s a similar pair for $800 less! 😮
A little update on my life: I am finally all moved into my apartment! There are some little things that still need to be done but everything is finally coming together. 🙂

Burgundy and Beige Stripes

The weather lately has been so…ew. Even today it was cloudy but there was a bit of sunshine peaking through the clouds when I went to take pictures!
Whenever September hits, I’m in full Fall mode. Goodbye summer clothes, hello Fall favorites! These loafers are my go-to comfy shoes that match every single outfit. I’m also really into reds and burgundy in fall so this sweater was perfect for me. I got it last winter and was shocked that they are still selling it! This time though, it’s over 50% off and is a great deal for a cashmere sweater.
I also wore these burgundy jeans. I love this color and it matches this sweater perfectly! These jeans are also extremely soft and comfy as they are part of the Luxe Sateen collection.
Off topic, how did everyone’s labor day weekend go? 🙂 I stayed inside mostly and started rewatching Breaking Bad! I couldn’t believe it, but I realized I’ve never even seen the first season. I started on the second season when my sister was going through the series!

Pleated Leather Skirt

Recently, I’ve fallen in love with leather pieces. I own so many styles of leather skirts, jackets, and more! There are so many ways to style them…you can match your leather pieces or you can pair it with other pieces from your closet. I like to wear one leather piece at a time and find other pieces to match it! 🙂
This skirt also looks really cute with a plain white tee, but I chose a striped one for today’s outfit. I also wore my black wedges and my go-to black bag!
